Davaoeño IT and business process outsourcing (BPO) professionals can look forward to approximately 180 new job opportunities next month, following Open Access BPO’s recent announcement that it will be launching a new office in the Philippines’ safest city on August 11.
Job applicants interested in pursuing IT and BPO careers are encouraged to attend the launching event, which will take place at G/F Filandia IT Center, Quirino Avenue corner Jacinto Ext. St., 11-B Poblacion District, Davao City. Prospective employees can send their resumes at 3:00 PM on the day of the event. Vacant positions are focused on English voice and non-voice customer support services, including technical support and customer care.
Open Access BPO’s Davao office is its third site in Asia, with the first one previously established in central business district Makati, Philippines, and the second in Taipei, Taiwan. Both cities are consistently included among the safest locations in the world. Taipei was recently named among the safest cities in the world by The Economist, whereas Makati is known in the Philippines for having low crime rates. Overall, approximately 70% of the company’s services are hosted by the most secure locations across the globe.
“We aim to open our locations in cities that are very safe, populated by a highly educated workforce, and offer a high level of accessibility,” said CEO Benjamin Davidowitz. “Our new offices in Taipei and Davao echo that sentiment as they are annually featured in the world’s top five safest cities and are well-known to have a highly educated population.”
Aside from championing security, these expansions aim to bolster the multilingual call center’s presence in the BPO industry. The establishment of new offices also supports the company’s vision of providing uninterrupted service delivery to its clients, which will then widen its market reach and dynamize existing work processes.
“The reasons for expansion are threefold. One is that the cost of doing business in Davao is a lot less, about 20% to 30% less than in Manila, savings which we can pass onto our clients. The second reason is for redundancy purposes. Having two different locations for customer support creates an extra blanket of security. Another reason for going to Davao is that it’s the safest city in the country,” Davidowitz remarked.
Company owners Benjamin Davidowitz and Henry Chang will be attending the launching event, along with the top company managers. Staff from media companies in Southern Philippines will also be present.
With this expansion, Open Access BPO strives to empower IT and BPO professionals in Davao City by providing a secure and fun work environment in one of today’s fastest-growing industries.
